静静的海岸鸥鸟翔集文字，
静静的古堡游人如织，
静静的森林色彩斑斓。
瑞典．挪威．芬兰．冰岛．和这些国名相连的版图上没有炮火，没有灾难，没有争端……孤悬海外的北欧仿佛是一片净土，远离这个世界的喧嚣与战乱。甚至新华社驻北欧的记者,都为当地很难找到让编辑部激动的热点新闻而经常抱怨。
从新闻职业的角度看，北欧最具轰动效应的新闻，也就是每年公布的诺贝尔奖得主名单了。但即使是颁布诺贝尔奖的那个晚上，从斯德哥尔摩发回的颁奖之夜的照片，也尽是烛光、地毯、燕尾服和曳地长裙，蓝色大厅里透出宁静温馨，传递的是北欧一份经典的安详。
随着国际旅游热线从西欧．南欧向北欧延伸，对于中国人来说，北欧之旅依然遥远，但已不再陌生：
绿茵如毯的奥斯陆老街保留着中世纪的古朴风貌，仿佛还沉浸在易卜生描绘过的生活场景之中；
斯德哥尔摩皇宫前的哨兵身着缀有金属钮扣的军服，固执地守卫着瑞典皇家的尊严；
落下风帆的巨型三桅船停泊在冰岛海滨的要塞，诉说着"挪威海盗"纵横天下的赫赫威名；
亚历山大沙皇的青铜塑像耸立在赫尔辛基教堂广场，使人想起芬兰版图被军刀宰割的历史；
２０万头驯鹿散牧在北极圈内的北欧雪原上，驾着鹿拉雪橇的圣诞老人把游客引向童话世界．．．．．．
不妨说一说这里为什么吸引了世人羡慕的目光，因为北欧的富足是天赐的：
北大西洋湾的暖流迴绕着斯堪的纳维亚半岛，给北欧带来和风细雨的湿润；
挪威大陆架延伸到蓝色的北冰洋，北海近岸油田昼夜喷涌出令人眩目的滚滚欧元……
冰川融退给芬兰境内留下18.8万个镜面似的湖泊，繁星般的湖边小木屋使"千湖之国"成为驰名世界的芬兰浴发源地；
千里冰封的冰岛竟全境拥有地下温泉，雷克雅未克温暖如春，千家万户洗浴取暖都有热气蒸腾的温泉；
北欧的冬夜寂寞冗长，天幕上却有翩翩舞动的北极光……
北欧人的性情和山川地貌不无关系。
暗无天日的漫漫极夜，使冰岛成为抗抑郁药销售量最大的地方，所以那里的人们最珍惜夏日的阳光，酷爱户外运动，琳琅满目的渔具摆满了大街小巷的商店橱窗。喜欢生活在宁静的北欧小镇里的挪威人，能够面对油画般的的峡湾一坐就是几个小时，与大自然的沟通交谈，占去了他们太多的时间；金发灰眼的芬兰人生性安静、内向，甚至有点腼腆。狭长的芬兰版图上没有大起大伏的地势，丘陵的线条柔曼舒缓，波罗的海水波不惊，岛屿密布的海岸线上甚至没有潮汐，正是这安详宁静的自然环境，塑就了北欧人的平和与冷静。（新华社记者 夏林 ），[/color]
