Thierry David是new age music领域著名的作曲家,指挥和制作人.1955年出生于法国巴黎,少年时对古典音乐和爵士乐产生了浓厚的兴趣,大学毕业后做为法国使馆人员前往秘鲁利马,从事文化服务;在这期间,大卫的业余时间都致力于音乐,对传统古典音乐,爵士乐和南美民族音乐有了更深入的了解和研究;于是,他放弃了工作,考入了世界著名的伯克利音乐学院(注:在爵士乐、摇滚乐的发祥地美国，有一所闻名遐迩的现代音乐学院——伯克利音乐学院（Berklee College of Music）。半个世纪以来，这所位于美国波士顿的音乐学院一直独树一帜，执现代音乐之牛耳，吸引了来自世界各地的音乐爱好者。学院现有学生3000多名，其中40％为外国留学生，是美国外国学生比例最高的学院之一。欧美许多已经成名的音乐家也常来此进修，以感受现代音乐发展的脉搏),经过极其严格和系统的音乐学习后,大卫回到了巴黎,开始为一些广告等作曲,在酒吧演奏钢琴,参加过爵士乐乐队, 摇滚乐队甚至重金属乐队,这些经历为他日后的音乐道路积累了经验.Thierry David现在是new age著名厂牌realmusic旗下的音乐人,他的新专辑"Zen Pause"刚刚于今年5月出版发行,其音乐风格融合古典, 爵士乐, 印地安人, 歌剧等,轻松而温馨,他自称为"lounge music".
