这是一种很有趣的伯莱塔93R的改装型，但注意，现实中是没有生产过这种型号的，这把AUTO 9其实是科幻电影《ROBOCOP》中的机器警察墨菲使用的武器，是用伯莱塔93R改装的道具枪。道具师用一把真的伯莱塔93R改成只能发射空包弹的道具枪，然后加长了枪管，并在枪管的延长段外面包上一个有科幻感的外壳，看起来像一个比赛手枪用的配重块，不过如果真是一个配重块，那这么大的一块也实在是太重了。由于这个“配重块”的物体挡住了前握把的位置，因此就干脆把前握把也取消了。

SIG-Sauer P226是在1980年代初期为参与美国JSSAP主持的XM9手枪竞争计划而设计的，优胜者会成为美军新的制式辅助武器。在那次竞争中意大利伯莱塔92F取胜，除了伯莱塔92F外，只有SIG-Sauer P226被评为“技术上可接受”。这样的评语是因为当时测试的标准非常严格，结果没有一把枪能够通过所有的测试，所以最好的两种也只能评为“技术上可接受”。伯莱塔取胜的原因是价格上的优势（据说P226性能表现最好），而此后几年P226很不走运，几次参加西方军队的武器招标，每次都是名列前茅，但每次总有伯莱塔手枪跟它一起，而且伯莱塔手枪总是凭借更为便宜的价格把SIG-Sauer手枪挤出合同之外，从美国到欧洲，SIG-Sauer P266 给伯莱达手枪当了一路伴娘。   
 
尽管P226从没有被任何军队正式采用，但却是一种发优异的辅助武器，因此被许多特种部队广泛地采用，包括英国的第22特别空勤团，美国的海军海豹突击队，还有许多军/警特种部队采用P226，也被许多地方的警察所广泛采用，特别是在美国。P226系列中各种型号总共生产了近600,000把。美国海军把P226定名为Mk24 MOD0而大量订购，海军陆战队的特种部队也使用Mk24。

P226和P228都只有9mm口径，不能象P220那样更换不同口径的枪管。为了让采用双排弹匣的SIG-SAUER系列手枪有多种不同的口径选择以满足市场的需要，SIG公司在1990年开始研制P229手枪，并在1992年投放市场。在这个系列里，P229是第一支不在德国SAUER公司生产的手枪。   
 
P229与P228的尺寸相同，但可以通过更换枪管发射三种手枪弹，.40S&W弹，9mm手枪弹和SIG公司专门研制的.357SIG手枪弹。发射.40S&W弹可以讲是潮流所趋，特别是在执法部门当中，已经大量使用发射.40S&W弹的手枪了。而.357SIG则是新开发的一种警用手枪弹。

P250大概是在2001年左右开始研制，是按照德国新制订的警用手枪指标设计的一种纯双动半自动手枪。P250的第一次面世是在IWA-2004上，当时只有9mm口径型，而且是紧凑型。根据SIG的宣传小册子说在2004年愉会有更多的型号推出，包括比较大的全尺寸型，以及大口径型。P250的双动扳机行程非常短，只有大约3mm，扳机扣力约9磅，白点式的战斗瞄准具，有整体式的皮卡丁尼导轨。

SIG Pro系列手枪是一种模块化式的手枪，是SIG-Sauer系列产品中首次尝试大量使用塑料聚合物的手枪，以往的P220系列手枪都是采用金属底把，而SIG Pro则采用工程塑料底把。所谓的模块化是指两点，一是握把模块可以方便更换成不同尺寸的模块；二是模块化的击发机构也可以随意更换，不但方便维修，而且可以让使用者可以在双动/单动（DA/SA）和纯双动（DAO）功能中任意选择。SIG Pro被一些国家的执法机构采用，美国DEA是其中一个最大的客户。SIG Pro最初只有在1998年中期推出.40S&W口径的SP2340，可更换枪管发射.357SIG口径手枪弹，一年后推出9×19mm口径的SP2009，在2003年Sauer为法国执法机构设计了在SP2009基础上改进的新型号SP2022。

在2003年底，Sauer公司公布了一种名为SP2022的新手枪，这是一种在SP2009基础上改进的SIG Pro新型号。SP2022是专门为法国政府生产的，Sauer将为法国的执法机构（包括警察和国家宪兵）提供270,000把SP2022，全面取代目前法国执法机构使用的多种不同型号的手枪，包括110,000把PAMAS-G1。顺带一提，在法国人的招标中，只有HK P2000和SIG Pro合资格取胜，但Sauer的标价较低（每把枪?280）。取名SP2022据说是因为法国人打算使用这种枪至少20年，而且合同是在2002年宣布（在2003年签订）。尽管此枪与SIG公司已经再没有关系，但在套筒上仍然有SIG SAUER的字样，鬼才知道它的正确名称应该怎样叫，也许就叫SIG-Sauer SIG Pro SP2022。   
 
SIG Pro有两种不同的弹匣底座，而法国国家宪兵两种都订购了，当穿着单薄衣服时，使用较短的一种。法国人还为所有的SP2022都各配两个枪套，一个是隐蔽式的，另一个是外露的枪套，有防抢夺功能。SP2022还在握把底部增加了一个绳环，用于系枪纲，这是法国政府的合同要求。还有一个小细节。SP2022把待击解脱杆上的锐利边缘磨掉了。   
 
SP2022还有一个有趣的地方，就是在底把上植入了一块感应芯片，把手枪的序号和所用警察的姓名、单位、性别和惯用手（左手或右右）等资料都记录起来。

SP2022最大的特点就是在底把上整合了一小段皮卡汀尼导轨，用于安装通用的战术附件，而不是SIG Pro的标准附件，这段导轨很容易把SP2022与SP2009区分开来。另外，SP2022上的板机比SP2009的薄，主要是为了缩短板机距离。SIG Pro系列手枪的缺点是板机的质量比P220系列手枪的差，虽然SP2022专门减轻了扳机扣力，但仍然不如P220系列的平滑。不过要注意的是，法国警察平均每年只打大约一百发弹来练习射击，平时使用手枪的机会也不大。

奥地利格洛克有限公司（Glock G.M.B.H.）由工程师格斯通·格洛克（Gaston Glock）创立于1963年，座落于奥地利德意志瓦格拉姆市（Wagram）A-2232豪斯费尔德斯特拉贝大街17号。   
 
　　很多人都认为格洛克公司在20世纪80年代推出的GLOCK17是世界上最早大量采用工程塑料的手枪（所谓“大量”的定义是至少底把这样的大部件是采用工程塑料的），其实世界上第一支大量采用工程塑料的手枪应该是HK公司在1968年设计的VP70冲锋手枪。但事实是，GLOCK系列手枪所取得的成功是VP70所无法相比的，不到20年时间，GLOCK手枪已经装备了40多个国家的军队和警察，而从90年代开始世界各地的枪械制造公司在自动手枪中大量采用工程塑料部件的热潮，也是因为GLOCK手枪的成功而掀起的。   
 
　　GLOCK的整个底把包括握把都是由工程塑料整体注塑成型的，只是在与套筒接触的滑槽部位才用钢增强；扳机和弹匣也是塑料的。这样不但降低生产成本，而且与其他零件的结合精度也大大提高。由于握把部位与弹匣槽是一体的，因此尽管它使用大容量的双排弹匣，握把尺寸并不太大。另外，塑料枪身还有保养及使用上的好处。潮湿的气候对于塑料枪身来说几乎是没有影响的，保养起来也比金属制品的枪身简单得多。另外，外界温度的变化的影响也小，不论在酷寒或酷热的环境下，赤手不戴手套來握枪也不容易烫伤或冻伤。   
 
　　GLOCK手枪在制造上采用先进的工艺，零部件允许的公差非常小。据说GLOCK手枪刚开始引进美国时，在某个枪展上曾做过一次公开测试：有人将20把GLOCK17进行完全分解后的零件摆出來，由一个观众任意挑选零件重新組合成一把枪，然后用这把枪射击了2万发子弹，中间沒有出现任何问题。   
 
　　对于GLOCK大量采用工程塑料作为主要部件最令人质疑的地方就是它的坚固程度和耐用性，一般人总觉得塑料不如金属耐用。事实上，GLOCK所用的强化塑料有非常好的强度和耐磨能力。使用GLOCK的军警单位对于它的耐用性很满意，民间的用户也很少抱怨GLOCK的塑料部件。   
 
　   
 
以下是GLOCK手枪的六项破坏性试验：   
 
1 将枪冻在冰块中60天，化冰之后进行100发射击。   
 
2 将枪埋于各种灰土中，包括沙土，干、湿泥土。然后进行500发射击测试。   
 
3 将枪埋入稀泥之中，然后用手甩掉表面的泥，进行100发测试。   
 
4 将装好子弹的枪沉入一米深的水中一个小时，之后立即进行100发测试。   
 
5 化学除油测试，用清洗剂将枪内所有润滑油去除干净，然后进行100发测试。   
 
6 用大型越野车轮子从各种角度碾过地上的手枪。之后把装好子弹的枪，用汽车轮胎压一个小时。再进行100发射击。   
 
以上六种测试共1000发子弹，没有出现一次故障。   
 
　　不过GLOCK手枪大量采用工程塑料也造成过麻烦，在GLOCK刚推出市面时，大众传媒以讹传讹，认为金属探测器或X光透视仪等仪器不能检查出这种“塑料枪”，恐怖分子会利用它来避过机场的安全检查。事实上，GLOCK的套筒、枪管和弹簧仍然是金属制品。但为了对付并不专业的大众传媒，避免因公众疑虑而对销售产生障碍，在后来生产的枪身塑料中都加上了一种X射线无法穿透的染料，以便于“接受”安全检查。   
 
　　而GLOCK手枪的另一个显著特点——扳机式保险装置也在世界各地的手枪开发中流行起来。手枪是一种自卫武器，因此GLOCK手枪的设计思想就是让使用者将子弹推上膛就立即可以使用，不必在射击前再打开保险，这一特性对于紧急情况下的拨枪自卫者来说非常重要。这个保险虽然方便却也很安全，在测试中，一把上了膛的GLOCK手枪从50英尺高度掉落在水泥地上，手枪安然无恙沒有意外击发。另外，GLOCK手枪的扳机力不轻（5.5 磅），扳机行程较长，如果不是故意扣动扳机的话，很难击发的。而在对于提供给执法机构的GLOCK手枪，还换上了扳机力更大（11磅）的击发组件，以减少警用枪走火的可能性。   
 
　　当GLOCK手枪第一次进入美国警用武器市场时，偏爱左轮手枪的德克萨斯州警察并不喜欢一支采用工程塑料、没有敞露式击锤而且是自动装填枪弹的手枪，所以一些警察局几乎是以强迫的方式装备格洛克手枪的，但当用上了GLOCK手枪之后，这些警察很快就喜欢上了这种新手枪。据说在美国，格洛克手枪占据了近50%的警用自动手枪市场（不过这只是枪商的单方面宣传，没有足够的数据支持这一说法），像纽约市警察局早已全面采用GLOCK手枪，美国海关也订购了大批的GLOCK17和GLOCK19，甚至在阿拉斯加这样的严寒地区也有执法部门使用GLOCK手枪，而洛杉矶市警察局不采用GLOCK手枪的理由则只是“没有外露的保险不符合有关规定”。   
 
　　从GLOCK17开始，格洛克公司开发出不同口径、不同尺寸的一系列手枪，使格洛克手枪能符合不同的使用要求，进一步扩大市场销。从GLOCK17开始，扳机保险装置成为GLOCK系列手枪的一成不变的特征。

GLOCK17是最早也是最基本的型号，由于9mm Para口径是北约成员国的军用手枪标准口径，而在其他非北约国家中也是应用很广的军用手枪口径，所以GLOCK17的应用范围最广、产量最大。   
 
GLOCK手枪系列中的第一支型号为什么编号是“17”呢？到目前听过三种解释。   
 
第一种解释是广为流传的，因为这支手枪的弹匣容量是17发，而当时流行的双排手枪弹匣是15发（这个流行的定义其实是以流行的意大利伯莱达92F为基准的），所以就决定编号为17了。对于弹匣容量是17发，我认为只是一个巧合：GLOCK17的弹匣长度和其他15发容量的弹匣长度差不多，但GLOCK17所采用的众多新技术中的其中一项名为“扁钢丝绕制弹簧”，这种弹簧的剖面是扁的而不是传统的圆形，所以在保持相同弹力的情况下可以减少弹簧压缩时的长度，所以当双排弹匣里的弹簧压缩时便可以多容纳两发弹。   
 
第二种解释是我比较相信的说法，因为GLOCK公司的人对外界宣称：他们以公司的门牌号码“17号”来命名新枪，以庆祝和纪念新枪的诞生。   
 
第三种解释是因为这是GLOCK公司生产的第17种产品，但没人能列出以前的16种产品，但2004年《轻兵器》杂志采访参加2004年北京警用装备展的GLOCK公司销售人员，他们所持的也是这种说法。

由于一此用户喜欢在GLOCK手枪的枪管上方开孔，以抑制枪口的跳动，增强连续射击时的稳定，所以GLOCK公司也推出专门有抑制枪口跳动结构的型号，这些型号的名称都是在原有型号数字后加上字母“C”。GLOCK17C就是带枪口跳动抑制装置的GLOCK17。

GLOCK20是专门针对美国警用和民用市场设计的，1990年首次在美国拉斯维加斯的SHOT SHOW上展出。GLOCK20发射原本为FBI研制的10mm AUTO手枪弹，由于枪弹直径和长度都比较大，因此整个底把都加粗加长。由于枪弹威力增大，因此在扳机钩上方加了一个横向销钉，防止射击时闭锁块移动。在其他发射大威力手枪弹的GLOCK手枪型号中都有类似的设计。

GLOCK37最早在IWA2003展会上露面，其最特别之处，在于所采用了GLOCK公司研制的.45ACP缩短型的手枪弹，这种手枪弹被命名为.45GAP（即“格洛克公司自动手枪”的缩写）。研制这种枪和弹的原因主要在于GLOCK系列手枪都比较轻，因此发射全威力的.45ACP弹时后坐力比较大，射手不容易控制。于是GLOCK公司就研制了缩小型的.45ACP弹。但对于这种手枪是否有前途，还得看其他牌子的手枪会不会支持这种全新口径的弹药，所以GLOCK公司的这个新创造是有一定冒险性质的。   
 
　　除了采用新口径外，GLOCK公司还在37型手枪上作了一些新的改进。例如一直以来GLOCK手枪都被批评没有膛内有弹指示功能的，在GLOCK37的拉壳钩上就增加了这个功能。另外GLOCK手枪的进弹引导面的设计也不好，导致子弹底部外露太多，如果用上装药过多的弹，就很可能导致后座过快，后坐过快就可能在膛压不够低时弹壳的不结实部分就露出来，然后导致炸膛。因此GLOCK37不但改进了进弹引导面的设计，缩短了外露的部分，而且专门设计的.45GAP弹也加厚了弹壳的底部，从而降低了炸膛的事故发生率。

提起大威力的半自动手枪沙漠之鹰（Desert Eagle），很多人都知道是以色列军事工业公司（IMI）的产品，但实际上它是明尼亚波尼斯市的马格南研究公司（Magnum Research Inc.）研制的。   
 
　　1979年，在马格南研究公司有三个人想要研制出一种发射.357马格南左轮手枪弹的半自动手枪，当时他们的研制计划名称为“马格南之鹰”（Magnum Eagle）。这三个人是J. Lindig、J. Skildam和H. Z. Skildam，而马格南研究公司的创办人——B. White负责技术的细节和开发。马格南之鹰的设计目的是作为靶枪和狩猎手枪。第一把原型枪在1981年完成，并在1982年公布，当时引起了很大的回响，这种.357马格南口径的半自动手枪巨大的威力和漂亮的外形引起很多射手的极大兴趣。然后，马格南研究公司需要寻找一家大公司来生产这种手枪，不久就找上了IMI。为什么是IMI？目前还缺乏这方面的资料。总之，这种手枪在1983年开始以IMI生产的“沙漠之鹰”的形式开始生产和销售，不过直到1985年，.357口径的沙漠之鹰才正正式式出现在美国手枪市场的售货架上。为了追求比.357马格南更大的威力，因此在1987年推出.41马格南型，不久又推出了.44马格南型，在1994年又推出了.50AE口径，而在1998年又推出了不太有前途的.440 Cor-Bon口径。   
 
　　1992年，由于美国政府对进口****进行限制，因此销往美国的沙漠之鹰就由IMI生产零部件，运往美国后由马格南公司进行组装和最后的加工。于是IMI将未经处理的半成品运往美国，由马格南研究公司进行镀铬、镀镍、镀金及抛光等表面处理，并对枪管及其他组件进行精加工后重新组装，这样就以“Made in USA”的形式继续在美国市场上销售。

沙漠之鹰彪悍的外形，不是任何人都能控制的发射力量，这是任何小巧玲珑的战斗手枪所不能替代的，这种特点使它受到好莱坞的注意，在1984年由Mickey Rourke主演的一部动作片《龙年》（The Year of the Dragon）中，沙漠之鹰第一次在电影中登场，从此以后，沙漠之鹰在近500部电影、电视中亮相，这里的统计还不包括美国以外的影视作品，当剧本中提到“有强大威慑力的手枪”时，几乎都是选择沙漠之鹰作为道具。国内的电影观众印象最深刻的恐怕是阿诺德·斯瓦辛格的电影《最后的动作英雄》（The Last Action Hero）里面那个一边驾驶敞蓬车一边单手用沙漠之鹰将歹徒打得落花流水的形象。

由于受电影和第一人称射击游戏（尤其是CS）的影响，沙漠之鹰在国内似乎有很高的威望，但据国外的枪迷说，尽管国外也有些人受电影的影响而去购买，但沙漠之鹰实在太大、太重，而且很容易出故障（发射时手腕不稳可能导致抛壳失败），又挑子弹（购买时随枪附有一张名录告诉你应该用什么牌子的子弹），因此很多人又马上卖掉，在枪店中有许多二手的，600美元左右。   
 
　　实际上，沙漠之鹰并不是合适的自卫或战斗手枪。为什么这样说呢？虽然沙漠之鹰深受好莱坞的电影制作人的喜爱，以至几乎每个猛男（还包括像尼基塔那样的猛女）在打.50 AE沙漠之鹰时连眼都不眨，由此产生的误导是使人认为马格南口径手枪是很普通的玩意儿。但是，电影和游戏都不是合适的参考资料。

对于普通平民来说沙漠之鹰用作自卫是不适合的，而对于特种部队来说，他们也不愿意用手枪做进攻型武器。那么沙漠之鹰是不是一无是处呢？也不是。前面已经提到过两遍了，沙漠之鹰的设计初衷就是用来打靶和打猎的，作为靶枪或狩猎手枪，沙漠之鹰是非常优秀的，尤其是打猎，百米以上的有效射程，接近长枪的威力，其他手枪都做不到这点，何况猎手一般也不会等野猪跑到面前才开枪，所以上述那些不适合战斗或自卫的缺点对于打猎来说并没有负面的影响。目前，沙漠之鹰也确是被定义为狩猎手枪在市面上销售的。   
 
　　加长枪管并加装瞄准镜后，用来打猎就更合适了。
